Tamarack Aerospace and ForeFlight Announce Fleet-Wide Performance Data Update for Active Winglet Aircraft

Enhanced, real-world performance modeling goes live February 3, 2026

Sandpoint, Idaho — February 3, 2026 — Tamarack Aerospace Group today announced the rollout of a major performance data update in collaboration with ForeFlight’s industry-leading electronic flight bag (EFB)platform. The update goes live automatically for all ForeFlight users on February3, 2026.

Announced last fall, the update incorporates significantly higher-resolution performance datasets derived from Tamarack’s expanding global fleet of patented Active Winglet technology representing thousands of additional real-world flight hours. These enhancements improve the accuracy of fuel burn, time-enroute, climb, and performance planning for pilots flying aircraft equipped with Tamarack Active Winglets.

The rollout includes updates for the entire CitationJet series, including the Cessna 525 series (CJ, CJ1, CJ1+, M2, M2 GEN2), 525A Series (Cessna CJ2 and CJ2+) and the 525B series (CJ3, CJ3+, CJ3 GEN2). “In the past, users may have added performance biases to their aircraft profiles in ForeFlight to better align their flight planning to the performance they see in the air. With this update, customers should see the baseline performance figures more closely align with reality, reducing any need for biases,” said Jordan Hovland, Aircraft Performance Data Manager, Jeppesen ForeFlight.

“These updates represent the natural evolution of a mature, data-rich fleet,” said Jacob Klinginsmith, President of Tamarack Aerospace Group. “Our original performance data was fully certified and FAA-approved. What’s changed is the depth of operational evidence behind it. By integrating this expanded dataset into ForeFlight, we’re giving pilots even greater confidence in their planning andr einforcing the real-world value of Active Winglets on every flight.”

ForeFlight users will see the updated aircraft performance profiles populate automatically within the app.

“ForeFlight’s mission is to provide pilots with the most accurate, trusted flight planning tools available,” said Hovland. “Working with Tamarack to incorporate refined, real-world performance data ensures that operators of Active Winglet-equipped aircraft can plan with greater precision and confidence. These updates reflect the proven operational benefits of Tamarack’s technology and further strengthen ForeFlight’s commitment to data-driven accuracy.”

Tamarack Active Winglets deliver meaningful operational benefits, including reduced fuel burn, increased range, improved climb performance, enhanced stability, and increased safety margins. With more than 200 Active Winglet installations worldwide, Tamarack’s technology has been proven on over 10% of the fleet including many charter and fleet operators.

“This update is about closing the gap between certification data and operational reality,” Klinginsmith added. “It’s another example of how Tamarack continues to invest in our customers long after installation—by improving the tools they rely on every day.”

Pilot Training & Community Engagement

In addition to the data rollout, ForeFlight and Tamarack are collaborating with the Citation Jet Pilots Association (CJP) owners group to host a dedicated training event at ForeFlight’s Austin, Texas facility on February 25–27, 2026.

During the event, CitationJet owners will receive hands-on ForeFlight training, including guided workflows tailored to Tamarack Active Winglet–equipped aircraft. Participants will also have the opportunity to work in advanced flight simulators, allowing pilots to practice real-world planning scenarios and ensure they are fully leveraging ForeFlight’s performance modeling, dispatch tools, and operational features. Citation owners can sign up for the ForeFlight Pilot Proficiency Workshop here.
