As a Flight Test Technician with Tamarack Aerospace Group you can expect to assist in the planning and execution of a cutting-edge airplane flight test program.  You will assist in implementing, operating, and documenting an advanced electronic data system. You will be expected to install and troubleshoot a complex and diverse sensor and recording system on an experimental flight test vehicle.  You will work as part of a small, flexible team during a fast-paced test program. Job Description:

  • Fabricate, install and troubleshoot electronic data acquisition system
  • Integrate onboard avionics with experimental data system.
  • Read and interpret engineering schematics and requirements
  • Report on discrepancies and develop solutions
  • Written documentation and reporting of test set up and results
  • Manage ground, bench, and flight test data acquisition
  • Retrieve, organize, process and archive recorded media / data
  • Other fabrication and technical tasks as required
  • Travel required

Qualifications: Required

  • 5+ years’ applied aerospace industry experience required.
  • Applicant must show general knowledge of avionics and aerospace data systems.
  • Motivated, reliable and flexible in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team structure utilizing good written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with wiring, fabrication, fastening tools and techniques
  • Experience using MS Excel, and MS Word, Adobe PDF
  • Enthusiasm for Aviation and cutting-edge technology


Priority will be given to applicants with:

  • Flight test instrumentation experience
  • FAA A&P Certificate


Education:

Associates degree in an applied electronics field or equivalent working experience.
