As a Designer with Tamarack Aerospace Group, you can expect to design, model, and develop new aircraft modifications and support existing designs.

DESIGNER II

Job Description:  

  • Collaborate with a small team of engineers and designers to model aerospace components, assemblies, and installations 
  • Reverse engineer aircraft structural components
  • Coordinate with the engineering, manufacturing, production, and quality disciplines
  • Prototype concepts for design reviews
  • Generate electrical wiring schematics 
  • Populate drawing notes, specifications, and bill of materials
  • Draft, review, and support engineering drawing and document changes
  • Manage multiple drawing revision and review cycles

 

Specific tasks include:

  • Build CAD models in Solidworks
  • Fully define drawings for manufacture and assembly
  • Generate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Inspect aircraft structures with hand tools and or 3D scanners
  • Work with hand tools and equipment to generate prototypes

Qualifications: 

  • 4 years of CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks
  • Familiar with designing for manufacturing and GD&T
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and must function well within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • High proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite

 

Education & Experience: 

AS in Engineering Technology, CAD, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 4 years of CAD experience
